CANDLE CARE

Candle Burning Instructions:

Trim the wick to the length ¼ inch. Make sure none of the trimmings remain in the wax: Debris in the candle causes the flame to flicker too high, which leads to soot and blackening of the glass.

The first burn is the most important—the candle wax must pool to the edge on the initial burn. Wax has a memory, meaning that if your candle doesn't burn to the edges, it will begin to tunnel and won't burn evenly the next time. Keeping the candle away from airstreams like open AC vents, windows, or fans is crucial."

Please only burn your candle for four hours each time to prolong the life of the candle. Burning for more than four hours can cause the wick to form a mushroom, or carbon deposit, on the tip and the more carbon, the more soot and smoke. If the flame becomes too high or is flickering, the candle is either burning in a draft or the wick needs trimmed. If you do not keep the wick trimmed and out of draft, your candles will soot. Please extinguish the candle before trimming or moving.

Discontinue use of candle when only ½” of wax remains in bottom of jar. Always burn your candles on a heat resistant surface. Always keep a burning candle in sight. Keep burning candles away from flammable objects, children and pets.
